Fernanda Alonso, LL.M., LL.B.., is an Associate at the O’Neill Institute. She holds a Master of Laws in Global Health Law from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Laws from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Mexico City.
Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Fernanda was the coordinator of the Drug Policy Program at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) in Aguascalientes, Mexico. There, she participated in legislative and policy projects for the Mexican government as well as researching drug policy issues in Latin America. She also has experience as a legal policy advisor in other susbstance control areas, including tobacco control and alcohol and food regulation.
