Whether the administration can get the support it needs is an open question, commented Lawrence Gostin, JD, an expert in global health law at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

“The politics of getting the president’s emergency response budget through Congress will be hard,” Gostin told MedPage Today, especially if members push for changes in public policy that would be difficult for the administration to accept.
