Global Internship Application

Applicants must be fluent in English and able to conduct research and substantive writing assignments in English. Applicants should have strong research, writing, and editing skills, as well as familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Successful candidates will have prior experience in a related position (academic legal research at their home institution). Candidates must be detail oriented and work well with little supervision.

Applications should be submitted via online form and all materials must be in English. Materials not in English will not be reviewed. Applications must include:

  • Cover letter, detailing the applicant’s background and interest in the internship program
  • Resume or CV
  • Transcript with law school grades (this may be in home school’s language)

Selected candidates will be contacted to schedule video conference interviews.

The O’Neill Institute will assist and coordinate necessary visa paperwork for candidates offered internships. The O’Neill Institute does not provide additional funds for travel to the US or for housing while in the US, but will provide guidance on finding and securing housing. The current wage is $16.90/hour, and requires a minimum of 35 hours per week during the internship.
