Summer Program 2020

Addiction Policy & Practice Summer Program June 10-12, 2020

The Addiction Policy & Practice Summer Program brings together leading practitioners, policymakers, advocates, journalists, and academics to explore addiction policy. Speakers will examine a range of topics, from adverse childhood experiences and prevention efforts, to international development and supply reduction strategies.

Participants will learn from practitioners and academics to develop a foundation for better, more effective, and evidence-based policy.

Program Fees

Program fees for the Summer Program include costs associated with the course materials as well as daily lunch and welcome reception. Participants are responsible for all other expenses (i.e. housing, meals, transportation, travel, etc.).

Parking

There is limited paid street parking available around campus, in addition to multiple parking garages within a couple blocks of the Law Center. Parking on campus is not available.

Public Transportation

Georgetown University Law Center is accessible from Union Station and the Judiciary Square metro station on the Red line.

Rideshare

If you plan on using a ride-sharing service, please use the address for the Eric E. Hotung International Law Building (550 1st St NW Washington D.C., 20001).

Certificate of Attendance

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the O’Neill Institute upon completion of the summer program. Please let us know if you require specific information to be included on the certificate.

CLE Credit

CLE credit is being explored, please contact Maryangel Rodriguez, mri11@georgetown.edu, if you’re interested in receiving CLE credit.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be received in writing to lawoneillinstitute@georgetown.edu by May 13, 2020. All refund requests will be charged a $100 administrative handling fee and will be processed after the conference. There will be no refunds after May 27, 2020.
