Event Category:

The Summer Academy is an established yet unconventional, multi-stakeholder event that brings together practitioners, policymakers (EFSA, WHO, WTO, EU Commission, food safety authorities from across the world), industry representatives (e.g. Unilever, Danone, Kraft, etc), NGO advocates (e.g. BEUC, EPHA) researchers and leading academics working in the field of food law and policy. It offers them a unique opportunity for frank and critical thinking and exchanges outside of the often polarized debate. It also provides an intensive training on the most cutting-edge developments in global food regulation and a unique opportunity for professional development and networking in an informal and inter-disciplinary setting. By talking, studying and interacting with food leaders from all over the world, participants are able to gain new perspectives into both their own sectors and international regulatory issues. This is achieved by combining traditional classroom instruction with experiential learning opportunities offered by dedicated and distinguished international experts.
