Emily Mok, MBE, MGA, DPhil, was a Law Fellow at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law from 2009-2011. She is currently a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Massachusetts.

As a law fellow, Emily worked on several global health law projects, in particular international development assistance for health and the implementation of public health regulations in developing countries. Her research interests in global health law and policy pertain to governance and international organizations, international trade, development assistance, and human rights.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Emily was a DPhil (PhD) student at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies within the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Law. Her doctoral thesis was on the governance of access to essential medicines. She also holds a Master of Government Administration (MGA), a Master of Bioethics (MBE) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) from the University of Pennsylvania. In the past, Emily has worked at the World Health Organization (in the Dept. of Ethics, Trade, Human Rights and Health Law and the Secretariat for Public Health, Innovation and Intellectual Property), at the American College of Physicians, and in the health care industry.
