Lisa Keels, J.D., was a law fellow at the O’Neill Institute during the summer of 2009 and 2010. She is currently with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, Lisa was an associate at a law firm, where she advocated for pro bono clients, specifically researching female genital mutilation in the context of political asylum. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

During her time at the O’Neill Institute, Lisa worked on the Public Health Law Manual. Additional as a fellow with the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship Program at Georgetown University Law Center she worked extensively on national and local policy issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and women, specifically reproductive justice and violence against women.
