Affline Aoko

Affline Aoko is a summer intern at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, she worked as a legal assistant in-house at Communications Authority of Kenya and Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority in Kenya. Aoko attended pupillage at Okello Kinyanjui & Company Advocates, a litigation firm in Mombasa.

Aoko is particularly interested in the interplay of health and human rights under the umbrella of social economic rights with a special focus on HIV/AIDS, Sexual Reproductive Rights, Food & Drugs and how politics and governance affect health.

Aoka is currently an advocate trainee awaiting admission to the Kenyan Bar. She holds a Bachelors of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi and recently completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law.
