Ellen Suryadi is the director of financial strategy and external affairs for the O’Neill Institute. She is responsible for managing O’Neill’s grants and contracts, supervising the administrative team of program coordinators, and helping to ensure O’Neill’s long-term financial sustainability.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Suryadi served as the grants manager for the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was responsible for managing grants awarded to various centers and institutes. Previously, Suryadi was a budget and grants manager for the Center for Irrigation Technology and California Water Institute at California State University, Fresno. In that role, she was directly responsible for managing all grants and contracts awarded by federal and state agencies, and led a team of program managers and administrative personnel as well as collaborating with primary investigators. In addition, she organized and represented both organizations at various conferences and policy events, raising awareness of water policy, education, and research in water resources and management.

Suryadi is a certified fraud examiner and has a B.S. in accounting from Fresno State University.
