Gonzalo Hünicken was an intern at the O’Neill Institute. He has a degree in International Relations and is in his last year of law school at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina.
He has done research on International Public Law and Human Rights Law, participating in several congresses, seminars and projects related to these fields of study.
Previously, Gonzalo has worked as a volunteer for non-profit organizations tackling issues such as education and public participation. Always with a human rights perspective, in the third sector he is now focused on sustainable approaches to public policy development.
He currently works at a mediation center in Cordoba, where he is learning techniques to resolve conflicts using non-litigious means. In addition, he is an active member in different classes at his university, and works alongside professors in the preparation of syllabi.
Gonzalo is mainly interested in the application of International Human Rights Law in domestic law. He is also passionate about international conflict resolution and diplomacy, and is interested in pursuing a postgraduate specialization in these areas.
