Margherita Cinà, B.C.L./J.D., LL.M., is a Law Fellow at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. Margherita holds a law degree from McGill University and an LL.M. in Global Health Law and International Institutions from Georgetown University and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. She is also a member of the Ontario Bar.
Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Margherita worked at a full-service law firm in Toronto representing hospitals and long-term care homes. She previously interned at the World Health Organization; the Center for Health, Human Rights and Development in Kampala, Uganda; and the HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic in Sydney, Australia. Margherita also created a global health law seminar that was offered by the McGill Faculty of Law. Margherita is currently a research assistant for the Global Strategy Lab in Toronto where she is conducting research on the International Health Regulations (2005).
