Michelle Xiao Liu, J.D., LL.M. (Advocacy) served as a Consultant at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. Michelle earned both of her law degrees from Georgetown Law. Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Michelle was the clinical teaching fellow in the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic, where she supervised litigation and legislative advocacy on women’s sexual and reproductive health rights in Botswana and Malawi. Michelle’s legal experience focuses on advocating for women’s rights around the world through the use of international human rights law; and she has extensive experience with foreign and comparative legal research.
Michelle was born in Wuhan, China and, as a naturalized U.S. citizen, served in Kenya as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2007 to 2008.
