Olohikhuae Egbokhare is an associate with the Health and Human Rights Initiative and the Center for Transformational Health Law at the O’Neill Institute.
Egbokhare previously practiced corporate law in Lagos, Nigeria, where she was a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court. There, she worked on a wide range of commercial transactions before deciding to pursue her passion for health law. While at Georgetown, she worked as a research assistant with the Health and Human Rights Initiative, researching ways through which the law may be used for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in low-and-middle-income countries.
Her interests in health law range from reproductive health and access to reproductive technologies, to non-communicable diseases and equity and access to healthcare.
Egbokhare holds an LL.B from Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan, and a B.L. with First Class honors from the Nigerian Law School. She is also a graduate of the LL.M. in National and Global Health Law program at Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the Global Health Law Scholarship.
