During this critical period when the U.S. health care system is being dramatically reformed by expanded health insurance coverage options created by the Affordable Care Act, the O’Neill Institute is working to support policymakers and members of the HIV community to navigate changes in the health system. This involves analyzing priority policy issues, convening key leaders within the HIV community and national health policy experts to facilitate dialogue around complex policy issues, and providing strategic advice to help the HIV community to effectively engage in the policy development process. This work is supported, in part, by a grant from the George Gund Foundation. Further, work in this area has been supported through collaborations with amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research; the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation; the Trust for America’s Health; and others.
