Maria Juliana Merchan Faccini is a 2023 graduate of the LL.M. in National and Global Health Law program. She is originally from Colombia.

Merchan Faccini is interested in food and drugs law.

Prior to enrolling at Georgetown Law, Merchan Faccini worked at a law firm in Bogotá in the contract and data privacy practice, where she engaged with different clients from the pharmaceutical industry. She also worked as a full-time in-house lawyer in Johnson & Johnson Colombia, where she participated in the COVID-19 vaccine negotiation in her home country.

Merchan Faccini holds a J.D. from Rosario’s University in Colombia. She also earned a specialization in international business law at Andes’ University and a certificate in Health Law and Pharmaceutical Innovation from Universidad Autonoma de México.
