Yimei Sun is a 2022 graduate of the LL.M. in National and Global Health Law program.

Sun’s areas of interest include COVID-19, noncommunicable diseases, and LGBTQ+ rights.

Before enrolling at Georgetown, Sun interned at a law firm and worked for the China National High-End Think Tank on Human Rights.

Sun has received the national scholarship of China and Moot Court awards, once participated in the propaganda department of the CPC Central Committee, completed a project about human rights surveys on the 2021 Fortune World 500 list, and advocated for LGBTQ+ groups in Chinese judicial trials.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in law, Sun majored in human rights at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Currently, she is pursuing two master’s degrees.
