Anna Garsia, LL.M., was a Fellow at the O’Neill Institute. She holds a Master of Laws in Global Health Law from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) (Honours) in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Sydney in her home country of Australia. Anna is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Anna worked as Tipstaff and Research (equivalent to Judicial Clerk) for the Honorable James Allsop, President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal. She also worked as an attorney for Linklaters LLP in London, in the area of corporate law. During her Masters studies Anna completed an internship with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), New York, working on their Access Campaign.

Anna’s interests include the way international law and global governance shape global health, intellectual property and access to medicines, pandemic influenza preparedness and the intersection between international environmental law and global health. She is currently working with Faculty members on scholarship projects in these areas.
