Katrina Pagonis was a fellow at the O’Neill Institute from 2007-2008. She is currently an Associate Professor at Hamline University School of Law. Her teaching and research areas include health care law, public health law, and public international law (particularly international human rights law).

At the O’Neill Institute, Katrina worked with faculty on legal issues underlying the domestic and global undertreatment of pain, international legal tools for improving global health, modern perspectives on Jacobson v. Massachusetts, and issues in contemporary public health law. She continues to focus on public health powers and vaccination laws in her current research and is also researching and writing on corporate liability in health care.

Katrina graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2005, receiving a joint J.D./M.P.H. She went on to earn an LL.M. degree from the Yale Law School in 2006. After law school, Professor Pagonis clerked for two federal judges based in Reno, Nevada: U.S. Circuit Judge Procter R. Hug., Jr. of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. District Judge Edward C. Reed, Jr. of the District of Nevada.
