Tom Vincent, MPA, MPH, was a Global and Infectious Diseases Fellow at the O’Neill Institute. He holds a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Tom also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Tom worked as an epidemiologist, focusing on infectious diseases such as HIV, Lassa, and Ebola. His work has taken him to Sierra Leone and Uganda, where he organized and trained African public health professionals on field epidemiology, Lassa, and other viral hemorrhagic fevers. Tom has also provided his expertise to African militaries to determine HIV and syphilis seroprevalence, and associated sexual behaviors and demographics. Recently, he has been collaborating pro bono with African epidemiologists and virologists to develop first-level research into articles for publication.
