Alexis was a summer intern at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. She was working with the Infectious Disease initiative and helped develop the Global Health Law course. She is a rising 3L at the University of Maryland School of Law from Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania interested in Health Law. Alexis received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Public Health from American University.

She has served as the 2018-2019 Black Law Students Association President, a peer advisor, a member of the United Students of African Descent, a member of the Student Health Law Organization, and a member of the National Trial Team. She served as a Fall 2018 judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Lynn Stewart Mays. This past summer, Alexis worked at Maryland Legal Aid in the administrative law unit under the guidance of Chief Attorney Ms. Cornelia Bright-Gordon. This summer she will work as a Health Law Clerk at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at the Georgetown Law Center. After graduation Alexis will be clerking on the Court of Special Appeals for the Honorable Judge Douglas Nazarian.
