There’s no need to track people down for their second dose, which means more people could be vaccinated faster. The shots also don’t require deep-cold storage, which means they’re less costly and somewhat easier to distribute.
“It’s a complete game changer,” said Georgetown University health law professor Lawrence Gostin. “It completely changes the equation.”
