Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter (R) was among those discussing the role of litigation against drug makers in fighting the opioid crisis in a discussion hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center. He talked about the Oklahoma case against Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer of opioid pain relief drugs at the center of the opioid crisis. He talked about how the case began and his legal approach as a conservative attorney general. Afterward, he answered questions from the audience and a panel of drug control experts discussed the legal strategy and compared it to earlier lawsuits against American tobacco manufacturers.
