The article presents the author’s views about Customer-Driven Health Care (CDHC) in the U.S. CDHC has various elements in which the insured consumer is given choice for their health coverage with choice of plans and providers, the level of coverage required, and treatment options. The author says that the increasing costs of employer sponsor health care resulted in CDHC which involves consumers in taking the ownership of their health care.
