On July 27, 2022, Georgia responded to a letter from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of the Treasury informing state officials that the Georgia Access Model—a broad waiver under Section 1332 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)—was at risk of being suspended. Per the letter from HHS and Treasury, implementation of the waiver would be suspended unless Georgia responded with a corrective action plan or a written challenge, with a response due on by July 28, 2022.
