Carly Sadeghi is the chief of staff for the O’Neill Institute. In partnership with the executive director, she develops and implements strategic decisions for the institute and works with initiative Directors and their teams to manage execution of their projects. In close collaboration with directors, she manages partnerships with external organizations, partner universities, and sponsoring entities, ensuring these relationships benefit the long-term goals of the O’Neill Institute and Georgetown Law.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Sadeghi was managing director for Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service. In this role, she guided long-term strategy for the institute and led operations, people management, and external relationships — including board engagement. Before that, Sadeghi was director of events for Georgetown’s Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement, where she oversaw event strategy for teams across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the United States. She has also served in event management roles for various nonprofit and corporate entities, often joining organizations to help establish new departments and manage change during periods of growth.

Sadeghi has an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.S. in business management from the University of South Florida.
