About

Developing partnerships with the broader development community and global law firms, we connected law students with practitioners in the field of international development for hands-on experience. These students also had opportunities to provide legal support to small enterprises in the developing world.

Our Work

In fall 2020, the Law of International Development Initiative worked with Georgetown Law’s Office of Graduate Careers to launch a new partnership with Sidley Austin LLP, where students have the opportunity to work directly with Sidley lawyers on pro bono transactions and trade issues in emerging markets. We seek to further these relationships and continue to encourage connections between law firms working on similar international development projects.
