The Health and Human Rights Initiative (HHRI) works to improve health through applied academic research that focuses on the nexus of health and national and international human rights frameworks. HHRI collaborates closely with local partners to build capacity, provide technical assistance, and pursue the strategic use of the law in health and human rights issues, especially in Latin America. The work of the Health and Human Rights Initiative seeks to maximize the real-world impacts of law and policy, and academic scholarship.

The Health and Human Rights Initiative Report highlights their contributions to litigation, policymaking, and standard-setting, noncommunicable diseases and the law, promoting human rights in families, the Global Center for Legal Innovation on Food Environments, and sexual and reproductive health and the law.
