La Iniciativa Salud y Derechos Humanos del Instituto O’Neill y el Consejo de la Judicatura Federal de México invitan al lanzamiento del Repositorio: El derecho a la salud en la jurisprudencia mexicana, latinoamericana e internacional. Se trata de una base de datos que compila las decisiones más emblemáticas en materia del derecho a la salud emitidas por el Poder Judicial Federal de México, Altas Cortes Latinoamericanas, la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos y el Sistema Universal de Derechos Humanos.

El repositorio cuenta con filtros de búsqueda predeterminados e incluye más de 190 decisiones que han contribuido a generar estándares progresistas en las distintas dimensiones del derecho a la salud, compiladas y organizadas en categorías para permitir un acceso sencillo. Estas características lo convierten en una herramienta poderosa para el personal judicial, la academia, y el personal legal, en general, que trabaja en la materia.
Personas expertas en el derecho a la salud discutirán cómo las decisiones judiciales han hecho posible el progreso en la garantía del derecho y sobre los desafíos que persisten. Asimismo, reflexionarán sobre cómo el repositorio puede contribuir al avance del derecho a la salud, a superar los desafíos para su garantía y a fomentar el diálogo entre diversos operadores legales en la región para avanzar hacia su plena realización.

Please join the Health and Human Rights Initiative at the O’Neill Institute and the Mexican Judicial Council for the virtual launch of the Repository: The Right to Health in Mexican, Latin American, and International Jurisprudence. The repository is a new database that compiles the most emblematic health-related rulings from Mexican Courts and high courts in Latin America, as well as international decisions issued by Interamerican and universal human rights bodies.

The repository includes over 190 judicial decisions that have contributed to setting progressive standards on all dimensions of the right to health in different contexts. They are codified and compiled for easy access and with searchable filters — making it a powerful tool for judicial actors, scholars, and legal personnel working on the topic.
Leading experts on the right to health will discuss the progress made through judicial decisions to guarantee the right to health and the challenges that remain. The panelists will also address how the repository can contribute to the continued advancement of the right to health, overcome challenges, and foster a dialogue among legal operators across the region regarding the right to health.
