The international human rights regime faces unprecedented challenges from rising nationalism, war, and populist opposition. Assaults on health workers, the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people, and the rights-based global order threaten progress toward the global realization of the right to health. The United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur on the right to health, Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng, will address how the right to health can be mobilized in a polycrisis environment to improve the well-being of the most marginalized and improve population health even amidst crises.
