Alexandra Jones, LL.M., was an Institute Associate. Previously, she was a law fellow. She holds a Master of Laws in Global Health Law from Georgetown University, and a combined Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy)/Bachelor of Laws from The University of Sydney in her home country of Australia.
Before joining the O’Neill Institute, Alexandra spent twelve months conducting human rights advocacy and education in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with support from the Australian Government’s Volunteers for International Development program. Alexandra has also worked as an attorney with the Australian firm Henry Davis York Lawyers, in the areas of employment and commercial litigation.
Alexandra’s interests lay at the intersection of global health and human rights; in particular issues of global health equity, and the potential contribution of non-state actors in improving the right to health.
Alexandra is currently working on the O’Neill Institute global health law project “Global Preparation for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis to Prevent the Transmission of HIV.”
