Bailey Smith is a 2023 graduate of the LL.M. in National and Global Health Law program. She is originally from ​​United States.

Smith is interested in medical malpractice liability, products liability, HIPAA compliance, and reproductive rights and justice. She is eager to expand her knowledge and interest in other health law practice areas as well.

Prior to enrolling at Georgetown Law, Smith interned at Legal Services for Children, a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, California. She worked in practice areas, including dependency, guardianship, and immigration. She also externed with the San Francisco Bar Association with the Juvenile Dependency Panel, where she worked under the supervision of three experienced dependency attorneys, and was exposed to healthcare access issues. In addition, Smith interned at the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office in the Sexual Assault Unit.

Smith holds a J.D. (cum laude) from UC Hastings Law. During law school, she was awarded the Best Brief award in the Snodgrass Intramural Moot Court Competition and the Best Oral Argument award in her legal research and writing class. She received her B.A. (magna cum laude) from UC Santa Barbara.
