Betty Gabriela Rodríguez is a student of the 2025-206 LL.M. in National and Global Health Law and an O’Neill Institute Global Health Scholar. She is from Venezuela.
Rodríguez currently supports the Global Regulatory Law team at Johnson & Johnson. Her previous roles in corporate and employment law; human resources; diversity, equity, and inclusion; responsible investment; corporate social responsibility; and legal research span organizations, such as Toyota, Ricoh, the Organization of American States (OAS), Arlington County, and the World Bank Group (WBG), where she contributed to legal and organizational initiatives.
Beyond her institutional work, Rodríguez led community gatherings in Washington, D.C. for over five years, fostering peer-learning spaces, rooted in mutual support, shared dignity, and non-formal education. Her passion lies at the intersection of human development, health law, and social justice, especially as it relates to equity and community organizing. She believes in the power of education, law, and collective action to support communities in strengthening their agency and shaping their own development and future.
Rodriguez holds a law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and a master’s degree in Social and Solidarity Economy from the Institut Catholique de Paris. She also pursued studies in private international law at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
