DaNia Henry is a student of the 2024-2025 LL.M. in National and Global Health Law. She is originally from the United States.

Henry is a U.S.-trained attorney with experience in human rights, criminal, and health law. She has eight years of public interest advocacy experience, primarily centered around racial and gender equity. Key professional experiences Henry gained as a student and post-grad include doing immigration work with the ACLU of Maryland, reproductive justice legislative advocacy in Malawi, criminal defense litigation and policy advocacy with Georgetown University Law Center, and as a trial attorney (public defender) in Massachusetts.

After practicing as a trial attorney in underserved communities, Henry is pursuing an LL.M. in National and Global Health Law to gain additional expertise in health equity generally, as well as in maternal health, mental health, addiction, and community wellness. Upon graduating, her long-term goal is to work as policy/legislative counsel on any number of the following topics: immigration, health, human rights/global affairs, housing, and criminal law.

Henry holds a B.A. with honors in political science from a historically Black university (HBCU) in Huntsville, Alabama — Oakwood University. She also earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2021.
