Ina Kafunda is a student of the 2023-2024 LL.M. in National and Global Health Law. Sheis originally from Zambia.

Kafunda is interested in analyzing international agreements and treaties that govern cross-border health issues, infectious disease control, and public health emergencies. Additionally, she is interested in reproductive health for adolescent girls.

Currently, Kafunda serves as the director of operations and supply chain at John Snow Incorporated. Prior to this role, she was involved with the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)-funded initiatives within Zambia, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care. She served as the deputy country director for Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Zambia. She also served as the deputy chief of party for a comprehensive HIV/AIDS program at the University of Maryland Baltimore.

Kafunda received a law degree from the Zambia Open University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Zambia.
