Jacqueline Leite de Souza was a winter intern at the O’Neill Institute.

Leite de Souza is a research assistant at Getulio Vargas Foundation São Paulo Law School, where she researches Brazil’s private healthcare system case law. She is also part of the Tutorial Education Programme on Sociology of Law at University of São Paulo, with a research grant from the Brazilian Ministry of Education.

Leite de Souza was selected as a runner-up of the Global Center for Legal Innovation on Food Environments’ 2022 Student Writing Competition, with her article on a Brazilian Supreme Court case regarding tax benefits to pesticides.

Leite de Souza is a student at the University of São Paulo Law School and coordinates Cursinho Popular Arcadas, a student-run educational organization that provides a college preparatory program to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
