Jennifer Alexander is the assistant director of operations for the O’Neill Institute, where she leads day-to-day operations, human resources, and internal systems. She focuses on ensuring centers have the tools, technology, and support they need to do their best work, from streamlining processes to strengthening organizational infrastructure.

In her role, Alexander has contributed to improving workflows and building systems that help staff and programs operate more effectively. She is particularly interested in creating sustainable, scalable processes that support both immediate priorities and long-term growth. She brings a collaborative approach, partnering across centers to strengthen culture and advance operational excellence.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Alexander worked with several nonprofit organizations, where she led complex operational and project management efforts. Her work included overseeing large-scale convenings and coordinating cross-functional planning initiatives. She managed program logistics, vendor and stakeholder relationships, and resource coordination, building strong experience in improving organizational systems and supporting efficient, mission-driven operations.

Alexander holds a B.S. in criminal justice and sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
