Mary Szurgot is a summer legal intern at the O’Neill Institute.

Szurgot is interested in the intersection of armed conflict and global health law.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Szurgot was a biochemist focused on understanding the molecular determinants of gene expression in aging cells.

Szurgot holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from Saint Joseph’s University.
