Mikhaila Richards, M.S. worked as a Research Assistant with the O’Neill Institute in 2009. She supported various domestic and global health projects at NHS. Her primary interests include the social determinants of disease distribution, health care access, and adverse health outcomes.
Ms. Richards earned a B.A. in Government from Smith College and a M.S. in Society, Human Development and Health at the Harvard School of Public Health. While focusing on psychiatric epidemiology and the social determinants of mental illness in graduate school, Ms. Richards worked as a suicide prevention volunteer at the Samaritans of Boston. She is currently working at the National Association for City and County Health Officials in Washington, D.C.
