Natalia Anzola Ortegón is a student of the 2024-2025 LL.M. in National and Global Health Law. She is originally from Colombia.
Anzola Ortegón is interested in food policy, alcohol and tobacco control, drugs, addiction, industry interference, and access to health care services. She is also passionate about advocacy actions promoted by civil society organizations, including strategic litigation, in matters related to public health and human rights.
Prior to enrolling at Georgetown Law, Anzola Ortegón worked at Edulegal, a law firm specializing in education, child and adolescent rights, and the promotion of public health improvement through strategic litigation and other advocacy actions. She advised public and private schools on human rights matters. Additionally, she was involved in the design of strategic litigation promoted by civil society organizations on public health issues, including alcohol control, nutrition, tobacco control, and the protection of children and adolescents. Before that, she worked with the litigation team of a law firm in Colombia, where she supported the health regulation practice area. She is also an active member of a Latin American youth network that promotes healthier environments.
Anzola Ortegón holds an LL.B. from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with an emphasis on human rights and social justice. Additionally, she has a graduate degree in Public Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
