Saar Neri is a student of the 2024-2025 LL.M. in National and Global Health Law. He is originally from Israel.
Neri is interested in regulatory frameworks and health care compliance, intellectual property, drug and device regulations, and health policy. His work focuses on health care provider accountability, digital health and information exchange, public health governance, privacy, and medical ethics.
Before enrolling at Georgetown Law, Neri served as head of government affairs at Maccabi Healthcare Services in Tel Aviv, where he advocated for innovative public health policies and legal reforms at parliamentary committees and the Ministry of Health, briefing senior officials, lawmakers, and policymakers. Previously, he was a research assistant for Dr. Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the U.S.
Neri also worked as a General Assembly rapporteur and legal counsel at the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations in New York, where he negotiated U.N. resolutions and provided legal counsel on international law, pandemic preparedness, and global health law issues. His legal experience includes a yearlong internship at Goldfarb Gross Seligman & Co., Israel’s largest law firm, specializing in commercial and international litigation.
Neri is a qualified lawyer in Israel. He holds an LL.B. and a bachelor’s degree in government from Reichman University. He is an O’Neill Institute Global Health Law Merit Scholar.
