O’Neill Institute Presents Joint Report Before CEDAW on Tobacco Control Policies and Women. Featured in an article in the Clarin, an Argentinean newspaper’s website, the O’Neill Institute, with other civil society organizations, presented its findings before CEDAW, noting “global prevalence of tobacco use among women will increase by 20% by the year 2025.” Furthermore, one in three Argentinean women is affected by tobacco-related illnesses and tobacco use among females is increasing at an earlier age.
