Partnering with the Mortara Center for International Studies, the O’Neill Institute is helping to organize a series of Georgetown events for the first annual World Malaria Day (April 25, 2008). The interdisciplinary group of faculty heading this collaboration has invited some of the world’s leading malaria scientists and policy makers to attend a one-day symposium that will focus on scientific progress and emerging policy challenges. The event will also showcase the contributions that Georgetown has made in the fight to reduce the global burden of malaria.
