A NEW VARIANT OF THE MPX (E.G., MONKEYPOX) VIRUS HAS CAUSED A GLOBAL OUTBREAK IN 2022 that is heavily concentrated among gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men (MSM). This extends from MPX that has been endemic in several countries in Central and West Africa, yet which has received limited global attention.
