As Congress considers steps it should take to address overdose deaths in the United States, Regina LaBelle, director of the Addiction Policy Initiative at the O’Neill Institute, submitted a statement for the record to the Energy and Commerce Committee. On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on oversight and investigations held a hearing entitled, “A Threat to Every Community: Assessing the Safety, Health, and Economic Consequences of President Biden’s Border Policies.”
