Please join the O’Neill Institute on Wednesday, September 25, from 1:20-3:20 p.m. ET for an important session of the 2024 Colloquium Series titled, “Rights, Freedoms, and Health of Women and Pregnant People.”

In the years since the Dobbs decision, a wave of legal challenges has reshaped reproductive rights in the U.S., putting the health and freedoms of women and pregnant people at risk. Our panel of experts will examine current legal battles, including ongoing fights over access to emergency care under EMTALA and to crucial medications like Mifepristone.

Speakers:

  • Michele Bratcher Goodwin, Co-Faculty Director, O’Neill Institute; Linda D. & Timothy J. O’Neill Professor of Constitutional Law and Global Health Policy, Georgetown Law
  • Allison M. Whelan, Assistant Professor of Law, Center for Law, Health & Society, Georgia State University
  • Lynn R. Goldman, Dean of the Milken Institute School of Public Health; Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health, George Washington University

Moderated by: Jill Morrison, Director, Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship, Georgetown University
