Cynthia Sun is the communications manager at the O’Neill Institute, where she assists in advancing the institute’s communications strategy and priorities. Previously, she served as communications associate and communications and events coordinator.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, she interned with the outreach and communications team of the Asia Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and with the communications department at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Most recently, she served as special assistant to voter protection and access on the Harris for President campaign.

Sun holds a B.S. in international politics with a concentration in international law from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at the American University Washington College of Law.
