Keegan Wicks is part of the inaugural cohort of the Addiction Policy Scholars Program.

Facing an ongoing addiction crisis, the United States requires an evolution in its public policy that pivots toward a whole person approach. The vision of a Recovery-Ready Nation is predicated on the development of comprehensive systems and infrastructure designed to support people navigating substance use disorders.

Keegan Wicks’ project encompasses a comprehensive policy strategy structured around policy analysis, proactive reform efforts, and coalition-building among stakeholders. Central to this approach is the adept use of personal recovery stories, harnessed as tools for advocacy work and legislative reform.
