With the 2022 open enrollment period now in full swing, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued its first weekly enrollment update. Enrollment remains strong, presumably driven by continued enhanced subsidies under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Separately, CMS issued a revised funding methodology for the Basic Health Program (BHP) that will provide an additional $850 million to Minnesota and New York, the only two states with the BHP.
