Vishakh Unnikrishnan is an associate with the Center for Global Health Policy & Politics Initiative.
Prior to joining O’Neill, Unnikrishnan worked as a healthcare consultant at the Sabin Vaccine Institute, graduate researcher at George Washington University’s School of Public Health, research and communication officer with Doctors Without Borders, and as a correspondent covering health with various publications in India.
At George Washington University, Unnikrishnan’s work focused on epidemiological research in antibiotic resistance and racial disparities in reproductive health. He also focused on improving immunization policy in developing countries, researching HIV-related risk behavior and improving access to essential medicines.
Unnikrishnan holds a Master’s in public health concentrating in epidemiology from George Washington University’s School of Public Health, a post-graduate degree in environmental law and policy from National Law University, Delhi, a diploma in journalism from Asian College of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Manipal University, India.
